|Men's Varsity Head Coach - Bruce Wade|
|Coach Wade has been at Walton since the Fall of 2002. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University in 1991 and a Master's in Education from Auburn University in 1994. He played Soccer at Western Illinois University 1987 – 1991. His coaching experience includes, Shaw High School 1996 – 2001 where he took his team to two State Semi-Finalist Appearances (AAAA). He also coached the Buena Vista University Men & Women from 2001 – 2002. He has also coached Girl’s ODP teams (1999 – 2001). In 2017, Coach Wade led the Raiders to the Region 4-AAAAAAA Championship and the Georgia State Semi-Finals. He holds USSF "A", NATIONAL YOUTH, and NSCAA PREMIER LICENSES.|
|Men's Varsity Assistant Coach – Marco Davila-Robertson|
|Coach Davila-Robertson is both a teacher and coach at George Walton Comprehensive High School. He attended Emory University where he double majored and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Political Science in 2002. After undergrad, he went to the University of Minnesota Law School where he received his Juris Doctor in 2005. Coach Davila played soccer for 12 years.|
|Women’s Varsity Head Coach – Megan Tymchuk|
|This is Coach Tymchuk’s first year as a Walton Raider. She played soccer at NASA for 15 years and at Kell High School for 4 years. She then went on to play college ball at Kennesaw State University where she majored in Exercise Science. She currently coaches at NASA-Tophat and teaches Health and Special Education at Walton. Coach Tymchuk is excited for her first year as a Raider!|
|Women's Varsity Assistant Coach - Marah Hardie|
|Coach Hardie graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science degree. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Teaching Science. Before teaching, She worked as an EMT on the ambulance and in the ER. Coach Hardie has coached soccer at the high school level for four years.|
|Men's Junior Varsity Head Coach - Pete Murphy|
|Pete Murphy is starting his 30th year of teaching and has been on the Football Coaching Staff at Walton High School since 1990 and his first year coaching soccer. Through the years, Pete has coached and assisted with most positions on both sides of the ball, and returns this year to help guide the 9th grade team. On Friday nights you will find him in the press-box trying to help figure out what the other team is doing!
Pete also led Walton Wrestling as the head Coach at Walton from 1996 – 2019. The Raiders enjoyed much success on the mat under his leadership, including the school’s first region championship in 2001 and have been State Runner-Up three times (2005, 2007, 2009) as well as having over 300 state placers and over 300 dual meet wins. The Marietta Daily Journal named Coach Murphy the 2001 and 2004 Cobb County Wrestling Coach of the Year .Pete was inducted into the Cobb County Wrestling Association Hall of Fame this spring in honor of his lengthy career and positive impact on so many people.
He is a graduate of Roswell High School, Kennesaw State University (B.S. Secondary Education and B.S. in Biology), North Georgia College (M.S. Secondary Education), as well as Walden University (Education Doctorate). Pete was a wrestler and football player at Roswell High School and graduated in 1983. He has been teaching physics and physical science each year, as well as a few other subjects every now and then.
He is married to Lynne (former middle school science teacher, current media center para-pro at Davis Elementary) and they have two children: Jacob (2014 graduate, DB, 4x wrestling state placer, including 2013 State Champion) who is wrestling for the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga (Go MOCS!); and Connor, graduated last year and is now a freshman at Berry College and is on the tennis team.
|Women's Junior Varsity Head Coach – Lucas Krull|
|Lucas Krull is starting his first year with the Walton Soccer Program working with the varsity
defensive line. This is Lucas’ second year of coaching overall. Lucas spent last year coaching
football at Roswell High School.
Lucas grew up in East Cobb and graduated from Pope High School in 2012. Lucas played
football and rugby while at Pope. Lucas was part of the varsity football team when Pope won a
region championship for the first time in over 10 years. He was also honored by the FCA with
the Leadership Award for his overall contribution to the team. Lucas also helped lead his rugby
team to a state championship his senior year. Lucas went on to be a part of the first football
recruiting class at Reinhardt University where he played defensive end for three years. He
then transferred to the University of Georgia where he earned his undergraduate degree in
Communication Studies in May 2017.
|Goal Keeper Coach - Mun Young Yi|
|Mun Young Yi is our Walton Soccer Goalkeeper coach as well as the Goalkeeper Director for the Cherokee Impact Select Academy and Recreational Programs. Coach Mun was born in South Korea and played on the South Korean National Team for four years. He also played professional soccer for eleven years for clubs in South Korea and the United States. Coach Mun was the goalkeeper for the Atlanta Ruckus and Silverbacks for four years. Coach Mun coached at Tophat Soccer Club after his playing career. He also served as a goalkeeper coach for Druid Hills High School for three years. Currently he is involved as the goalkeeper coach for the Georgia Olympic Development Program (ODP). In that role he works closely with interim DOC for CSA Impact, Alex Pama, who is the head coach for the GA 1998 ODP girls.|
